** David Scheel's April/May tour of USA and Britain was greeted with full houses and rave reviews right across the country, from Colorado to Atlanta, GA. In the process, David has been appointed to the advisory board of Colorado's multi-award winning Bas Bleu Theatre.
Similar successes followed in Britain, with memorable performances, notably at the Eden Court Theatre, Inverness, and the prestigious Theatre at Chipping Norton, Oxford.
His first major New Zealand tour (September 2007) was also a sell-out in major venues across the country.

** David's orchestral suite on a series of northern England fishing songs will receive its Australian premiere with the Sydney Youth Orchestra, conducted by Stephen Williams, on November 13th. He has also been commissioned to compose a string quartet for the inaugural Blue Mountains Festival of Chamber Music. The work will be performed by the acclaimed Lindsay Quartet, led by Maria Lindsay, formerly of the Vienna Chamber Orchestra and Sydney Symphony Orchestra, and now lecturer in violin at Sydney Conservatorium of Music. The work will receive its world premiere on Sunday, 8th June, 2008.
